Heather Wash is a speaker, nonprofit leader and international missionary whose work bridges faith and humanitarian impact. Heather shares powerful messages that inspire audiences into bold obedience, deeper compassion, and courageous service. Through her work as Founder of Ormee Ministries, Heather partners with Maasai communities in Tanzania to bring hope through faith, education, widows care and sustainable outreach.
Known for her authentic storytelling and heartfelt approach, Heather speaks with experience and conviction on topics including purpose, resilience, transformation, leadership, and a range of humanitarian issues. Her moving stories and testimony challenge audiences to step beyond comfort and embrace lives marked by service and impact.
Heather has a unique ability to connect across generations and audiences – from women’s conferences, nonprofit events, schools or leadership gatherings, Heather brings a gentle and heartfelt message rooted in real-life experiences. Her message is both challenging and hope-filled: ordinary people can make extraordinary impact when they say yes to their calling!
Who is Heather?
Heather Wash has over 15 years of experience serving the Maasai tribe in Tanzania, East Africa. In her role as Founder & Director of Ormee (or-may) Ministries, she leads fundraising initiatives and provides direction and oversight of their school and community projects.
Heather has a bachelor’s degree from Milligan College, Tennessee, and is completing a master’s degree from Taylor University, Indiana.
When Heather is not in Tanzania, she resides in Indiana with her husband, Bill, and their college-aged children. She loves hiking and considers climbing Mt Kilimanjaro her most memorable challenge. She is passionate about transforming the lives of widows and orphans and sharing her inspirational message of what is possible when you allow God to use you.
